So this is my brothers tank he is on vacation and told me to feed and etc etc.. well yesterday I noticed at first these little white sand like worms at the bottom with tiny tiny thin hair coming out of them and now they are ALL over everything and everywhere..
Also there’s spiderweb like strings covering a lot of things now
And this is the first night in the last 3 that I’ve seen these huge creepy long worms crawling in and around everything so
First concern… is the spider web stuff and how to get rid of it if it is a problem
Second…these white “sand worm things” now multiplying all over everything
And are his fish or coral or any of it at risk and how do I help?

Also I know nothing about chemicals or how or what when it comes to tanks .. he told me to only use purified water when I pour it in the back and I’m scared to send him any of the pictures before I know..

(I also included 3 photos from yesterday so you can see how much worse 24 hours now looks)

Welcome to Reef2Reef!

Tough to see in the pictures, but you're likely talking about a variety of organisms that live in reef aquariums; spaghetti worms, bristle worms, etc. They by themselves are not an issue, but in older tanks, with lots of biological loading, they can increase in numbers.

I've also found that in aquariums that are undergoing some sort of water quality change, that these normally hidden animals suddenly come out in the open - that's my concern here. Be sure you are not overfeeding the tank (the water looks cloudy in some pictures - does it look that way in person?) and make sure the tank has good aeration.
