so i added 2 hermits 2 snails to my 55gal thats a little over a month old. cycled and all. thats all thats in it at the moment as i have to make the canopy/lightfixture for it so i am holding off the rest for now..

anyway the hermits moulted, one of which is out of the shell and MIA. i have no shells in the tank for them ATM, i do have many shells that were in decorative things around the house. in a glass container i have some shells (part of candle but not actually in wax or anything its in a different compartment. than i have some that were in decorative sand in a glass bowl. i have them sitting in a pint of ro/di water right now.

stupid question i know, but theyre okay to put in right? lol..just being overcautious

Personally, I would not use them. If I am not 100% sure on where something came from or could have been exposed to, I do not use it in my tank.
