As I stated I had green hair algae or turn algae. I did a treatment of Reef Flux and it cut down pretty well (like 60-70%). How ever it all came back with a vengeance in about 2 months. 9 days ago I had picked as much as I could (like a solo cup off each rock) then used a tooth brush to get the rest. I used a trick I saw on here from @scoobytu on instagram and used a siphon hose running from main display to the sump but was filtering it all in one of the socks! THIS WAS INCREDIBLE! It got it all out as I was picking and brushing (AMAZED)! I’m not about 10-11 days into the second treatment and it actually looks like it’s 95% gone. I also did a 3 day black out and then dimmed my lights to half power. In 10 days my corals haven’t looked as they do today! I did do a water change the day before the last treatment and here is the water sample. I do plan to do a water change on the first. I also cut off the UV light and skimmer.

This actually has worked for me.

I did the second dose of Reef Flux for the hair algae and it worked!! The algae is 100% GONE!

I did 2 weeks with no UV light, No skimmer. On the 10th day I did 4 days blackout. The algae is 100% GONE!

Now it’s time to come get some NEW corals next week!

Pics are of water change after the 2 week reef flux treatment.
