I have a yashia goby that has made space in a central part of my tank. I just finished my stocking with a sunrise dottyback. He is a little over 2 inches and lives with 2 clowns as well. Here's what I don't understand.. he free swims and shares real estate with the goby. I don't mean just near the same area but the dottyback occupies the overhang of the cave the goby lives. The goby will be outside the cave like he's greeting and the dottyback swims right up to him and they rub against each other. No aggressive behavior from either. They hang out under the oberhang. a few seconds to a few minutes. I thought these were solitary and possessive fish.
