Just to confirm, when you woke up was the pump still on? I apologize I'm not following the train of thought.
Is this tank cycled? I know you said two months, but curious.
Also. what's your salinity? Are you using RO w/ salt? Tap with Prime?
*Edit * Also what's your temp read? If the pump was off, and your heater is in the back, temp could be off.
Yes the cyano I know that’s why I mentioned in the post. I am clear on what that is and I hate it. I’m not sure what action to take as far as the Cyano in this nano since my theory is that the Chemi clean ticked off the two I transferred to this nano after the Cyano outbreak in the other tank. I was talking about the green long flow looking stuff. I haven’t had time to research but my guess is Hair algae? I’ve heard of it but again haven’t had time to research on that one. That is cyanobacteria, not algae, but will not have any affect on the fish or coral.
The alk of 7 is likely what bothered your corals, its much lower than 'average', so they might have taken time to acclimate .
A full tank pic will help.
Pumps should always be running, and the water surface should always be agitated to help oxygenate the water.
Also, from what I know… 7alk would maybe bother corals…but clowns?!That is cyanobacteria, not algae, but will not have any affect on the fish or coral.

Oh sorry I forgot the full tank pic. I’ll take one now. Although that picture was pretty much the full tank. Also, from what I know… 7alk would maybe bother corals…but clowns?!
What is the prime being used for. If you are using RO water there is no chlorine and no use for Prime.
The green wire like stuff is macro algae of some kind.
Is there a skimmer?
Is there surface agitation?
Sounds like low oxygen event to me.
Well, I almost just killed my snail. I’m the one that accidentally pushed him out of the water quickly for the video with the magnetic scraper. He was taking a ride.Prime is not bacteria. It is a chlorine neutralizer that they try to say also neutralizes ammonia (it doesn't).
You have a snail out of the water as well, so maybe something is off.
Surface agitation is not bad, but is there a skimmer or anywhere that the water is getting aerated?
No - that particular green macro algae is not likely what you want in the tank. I would pluck it. It is not harmful, but will become a nuisance to control.
Were the fish quarantined? You had them for a month? Behavior until yesterday? Disease can not be ruled out.
Also want to add thank you so much for trying to help out here. I am literally stumped started joking with myself. Is this just a case of Romeo and Juliet? Joking but so weird they died within the same hours.@Jay Hemdal - very little to go on here. Can you take a quick look?
I am not a disease expert, but Jay and others may be able to help.
Yes photos with white light of the dead fish may be of help.
