So, after working on leveling the stand, putting in outlets and getting the tank ready to sit in this spot. My boyfriends best friend comes over and says "This would look so much nicer if you took out this wall and turned the tank." Which is what I said originally but noooo.... but now its on the table. They are going into the attic tonight to see if that wall has a supporting beam or not So fingers crossed...

Project of the day: Chiller access to the sump.

The chiller is sitting outside the stand in the other side of the wall under the bar.

So I grabbed some tools and made a hole!

I found this cool 2” through wall port called a wall eye wall on Amazon. Install was super easy and came out really clean.

Following, I am planning a sh tank in the future after our move!

Thanks for the follow!

I'll be updating this thread this weekend.
Leak test of tank and plumbing was a success!
As mentioned this tank is going to be a holding tank for my main tank for a little bit while I swap my main tank. So it'll see water soon but seahorses probably in a couple months maybe we'll see.

So a lot has happened for this tank - it passed leak check for the plumbing and tank and is holding water. Unfortunately not seahorses tho... as mentioned before this tank needed to be a holding tank for a little bit so it is currently holding all almost all the live stock from my 225. It needed to be swapped out because of a leaky seam.

My brother in law came over and threw together and quick canopy for me while they make the skin for the bottom and the real canopy at the shop.

Finally got the Chiller hooked up and running. I had planned on having the ATO container under the stand beside the sump but it didn’t work out so I moved it out next to the chiller.

Big tank is moving along nicely. Aquascape base is in place. So all of this rock is cemented together with E-Marco and is sitting directly on the bottom of the tank. Sand added after. All rock was from the original tank had has been live rock for over 10 years.

Well after two years of no updates here’s one!
Tank has been up and running for a while now. It did take quite some time to let go of find H. Reidi for this tank and I bought 4 female H. Erectus. They are doing great! I have been battling with hair algae so this tank is not quite the beautiful show tank I was hoping it would be but everything is a process.

That’s awesome!! Seahorses are the best I really love having mine. A bit more work then the reef but totally worth it!

I'm in the research portion of SH tank. Setting up a cube as a holding tank until we finish our new house build & then once the big tank is set back up the cube will become the SH tank.

Love what I can see in yours. Any fts? With or without hair algae ;)
