Hi all,
I took over my tank from someone who sell everything as is. I have this growing for 1-2 weeks and I notice a lot of smaller similar looking stuff on another rock.

I noticed the bristle worm on 2nd picture but leaving it for now

Is it sponges? I'm still quite new to reefing. Thanks a lot

Thanks. They suddenly grow a lot on my main rock. What would cause that if you know?
Just good conditions for them to grow - plenty of food/nutrients, good flow, silicates if they're demosponges, etc.

If the move of the tank kicked up a lot of detritus/bacteria, that could do it.
