Never a dull moment as a wrasse keeper. The quest continues to trap the bully Blue Throat however today as I sit and work from home I hear a small thud come from the area of the tank. Quick glance and say to myself I wonder what that was. Followed by another faint unfamiliar sound....

i decide to open the cabinet and peak through to the area behind the tank and to my surprise theres the Pintail flopping around the various power cords.

We scoop him up and plop him back in the water. All is well.

It never ceases to amaze how they sneak out.... Mesh top was on yet still he was chased right out the tank! There is literally NO way out yet they get out!!!

No worse for wear.

Welcome back bud! All's well, Tanks on the brink of a growth spurt me thinks but what do I know?! Everytime I think I got it all figured out I get kicked in the groin again so we'll see All in all I'm happy, We aren't killing anything!

I almost got him to jump out while chasing with the net. I quickly found that using nets around acro's isn't very productive and snagged two of them on different corals :mad:

New trap plan. @RichtheReefer21 gave me his Octobox. Add the algae clip and see if we can catch a wrasse. A couple of the fish dove right in. Fearless. Hopefully the punk joins them in time and I can get the top closed in time.

New my place ran very dry in the winter months but until we had one of those fancy thermostats installed recently that reads humidity I didn't know how dry. We ran on average of 17% RH over the past two weeks with a low of 10%. Had to add some humidifiers.

got this guy fogging away and its climbing now. Were up to 27% inside now and climbing.

Put a 2nd one in the bedroom too. Who woulda thought it could be that dry with 3 tanks in a modest sized townhouse??

It’s a Honeywell that ties into the smart home system we have. I wouldn’t have spent the money myself but it came with the system. No more house keys, touch pad locks, app to turn on lights and open doors yada yada. I’m sure getting hacked now includes being robbed!
