Def Leppard, and "Pour Some Creamer On Me?"

Also, everyone should have just gotten a nice surprise in their alerts. Turtle is here!
I knew you’d stumble over when the Moonshine wore off!

I love the idea, but you know they are going to kick the sand out.
Yep, it’s an experiment for sure. I can live with some spillage. Getting them in there i think will be tough part.

So i have 3 holding tanks setup with all if the livestock from my Reefer. Every night the lights start going off at 9pm with the clocks off by a couple minutes on each. Well like clockwork the Mandarin sees his reflection/shadow for about three minutes and goes absolutely bananas! Like a baby clownfish that swims coast to coast at the water line and splashes water over the rim of the tank.

Anyway its the craziest behavior for a mandarin but so ammusing to watch!

I don't think those caves will be ideal for burrowing wrasses. My earmuff wrasse would sometimes burrow horizontally instead of straight down and I think if it was in a cave like this is would hurt them.

Its certainly a consideration but having seen wrasse bury in many tanks with an inch to inch and half sand beds I think they’ll be okay.

I also thought about nature and the fact that typically choose to bury near/against rock croppings. Theres every chance they could dive into a rock in the ocean or a tank.

The tiny gap my Radiant dives into every night in his current tank is Smaller than a dime really with about an inch of sand below. He has so many other options that are deeper and thats what he chooses so I think, should they choose to use these they’ll be okay but Ill be watching for sure. Like most things its an experiment.

So after hanging the light I was unhappy with the right side of the scape as viewed from both my spot in the couch and the long view from the kitchen so to work I went.

A couple little tweaks I said....Well yeah, you know how that goes!

So here's a couple of new ideas. The only difference between the two is 1 rock in the middle. I think I like the lower center section more than the higher. Thoughts?

I like 2 better as well. More depth and contrast between the islands. Not all at the same height if you get what I'm saying.

My thoughts as well... I enjoy aquascaping but at the same time never know when to say when!

Been so wrapped up with the new build I havent really paid much attention to the 40B. It got a lot of spillover corals from the Reefer and suddenly looks like a pretty nice reef if you ignore the cyano!

Making good progress today on the electrical panel. Really happy i went with WAV’s and a COR 15 return as It looks like Ill power this system with just the one EB 8.

One of the outlets will have a small 3 outlet power strip with 2 USB ports ti power the tablet and Echo dot.
