Scolymia recession

I had a 13 gallon nano since 2020. In november of 2023 i bought a reefer 250 (50 gallons). My scolymia was doing really good in my nano and also at the beginning of my new tank, but as time went on it started receiding. I placed it in 2 different spots over time ( i left the scoly in one spot for a few months to not stress it too much). I just moved it onto a rock, low flow not directly under the light. What i noticed is a mouth that is always opened; the tissue is never super puffy, but it still eats. I started feeding my corals twice a week for 2 weeks now to see if it gets better.

My parameters are the following:

KH 7.7
CA 500 (i know it high, i had a faulty test kit)
MG 1500 (i heard lps prefer higher magnesium)
PO4 0.03-0.04
Nitrates 5-8

My reefled 90s are running at 70% blue and 15 white for 10 hours including ramp up and down time.

What would you guys recommend. I started doing bi weekly water changes because my dosing doesn't cover a lot of trace elements

You have a bit of RED in your test results, start there with fixing that - also your PO4 is at 0.11 according to the test results, but you said it's 0.03?

I’m doing water changes to fix that. For my po4, my salifert reads 0 or close to 0 and my hanna ULR checker reads 0.03

How long have you had your scoly? I see you mentioned having it since before the tank upgrade, but not how long it was in your old tank.

What temperature do you run the tank at? Scolys tend to prefer temps on the lower end of what we typically run our tanks at (76-77F or ~25C).

Can you see any perfectly round or oval shaped holes on the underside? Scolys can be susceptible to boring mussels/clams/bivalves. The holes can appear tiny from the outside, but they can grow within the skeleton. Here is an article and a video to give you an idea.

I’ve had my scoly for 3 years now. It was in my nano since start of 2021 and i got my new tank in november 2023. It was always super fluffy in my nano. I kept my nano at 24.5-25 and it’s the same for my current tank. I’m going to do a water change tonight. I’ll take some pics of the scoly from underneath
