Hello
This is my 1st time using ATI hybrid PM fixture over my system
Need some guidance/ suggestions on the recommended / tried and tested light schedule for lps and softies tank.
Light fixture is 6 x 54w t5 bulbs and 3 x 75w led spots. Light is 48” around 12” above water line over a 60” tank .
Looking forward for some advice
Thanks

I have a 36" 8 bulb PM. I run 6 blue+, and 2 true actinics, then run the LEDS in a purple+ config with a bit more white.

I run my lights from 6am to 8pm with an hour ramp up, and an hour ramp down.

Thanks a lot for your reply and suggestions.
One more question. Does this configuration render a bluish look or more towards white? Coz i prefer a bluish white look
Thanks

It's on the whiter side of blue. Not quite windex look, but not super white either.

If you want a bluer look, just don't adjust the white in the LED's.

@oldmonk @homer1475 I also have an 'ATI 6x54 + 3 x75 leds
I found the combination of the leds and the spectrum declared by the manufacturer.
in the leds the red spectrum is absent, do you think an ATI purple plus tube could be useful?
or do you remain firm on the fact that the best combination is 2 actinic and 4 blue plus?

last question, i have a shallow tank, the water column is only 15.5 inches (40cm) high. at what distance should I hold the lamp according to you?

here is the picture of the spectrum and led combination

@Gildo ,
I cannot comment much on the t5 bulbs as this is my 1st time using t5. But from what I have read it depends largely on personal preference. Also somewhere on this forum itself ATI has given their recommendations on the t5 combination depending on the look/temp desired.
Regarding the height of the lamp from the water ,the dimensions of the fixture as compared to the tank will dictate that. Fr example I have a 48" fixture over a 60" tank at a height of 12" to have even spread. If your tank length and fixture length is same then it will have to sit lower to avoid light spill.
I found the combination of the leds and the spectrum declared by the manufacturer.
Can you please post a link of this declared spectrum ?

Thanks
