So I just plugged the ReefBot Lab back in to prepare for testing a Hydros Maven when they come out....

I (again) wanted to try and give this a fair shake.

Here are my thoughts:

- It over a year later and the documentation for old features, let alone NEW is abysmal.... non-existent...
No easy to find or read explanation of the stir feature, hardware test features, etc. Crickets.

- Scheduling BUGS - scheduling tests creates duplicate schedule entries... sometimes 6 or more for the single scheduled item. I have not tried to troubleshoot what setting may be causing it and don't care.... it is buggy.

- The Facebook Group hasn't changed. Most real problems are simply ignored (I assume taken to DM so as not to give a bad impression).

- It is obvious that RK still pushes updates and changes on a whim with no versioning, etc. Posts like "Hey why are so and so testsmissing from the menu"... "We put them back and things should work again now. THIS IS INSANITY and not how software/hardware should be updated.

Insanity!!!! Just push updates on a whim. Stuff gets fixed, stuff breaks... it is a lottery.

- Brand new reagents today... results from the bot don't match manual tests or tests from Hanna checkers or other kits.

- The color return charts really make little sense and don't convey useable information.

- "calibration" of testing chamber. Comes out to different every time.. between 10.5ml and 12ml

Somebody else has the same issue... crickets on the FB forum. Only happy things get answered there!

I don't see that anything has changed for the better and I feel silly for buying another $225 worth of reagents to give it another. I had honestly hoped for some improvement.

Anway... I will let it run for a few more days, may as well use up the reagents I purchased.
