I'm no expert but it works for me. I tried the abcd before but the dosing is sketchy and vague
Compared to me you‘re at least a semi pro. But I’m learning slowly, I think.

so how does the dosing work on the one y’all are using? This one wants to mainly rely on calcium uptake but I dont really like that. All I can figure is based on my unreliable testing I should slowly bump my iodine up to .06, my potassium up to 410, and my iron to .15. I’m using their calculations based on 1 ml per 25g and estimating. It’s messy for sure. Then with the bio active trace elements there’s really no guidance unless you’re basing it off of calcium consumption. I was hoping to find something I could just measure out and dose and I feel like it would be easy for me make a mistake with this stuff.

I use approximately a capful of each once a week. The corals are seemingly liking it. Same stuff Billy uses. That’s for the nano.

how did you decide on those modes and the order of the modes?
Mostly I just wanted have a bit of change up divided fairly equally during the day/night. I also use a Mighty Jet pump for the filter/sump pump at 2 notches below max.

interesting, i would have thought that the random mode was enough diversity of flow. I've been meaning to try out the pulse mode.

I’ve also got 2 Nero 3 pumps in the 60 that except for a small amount of time in the middle of the night til about 6 AM run on random mode. Plus a Tunze 6040 that’s on pulse and the returns that run on pulse as well.

Again...this is what's working for me. The fact that I put a ton of work in is the biggest factor above everything else. My acros were fine without the kz 1234 so always keep an eye on things and don't sleep on having an occasional icp test done.

I do the red sea abcd also @woodyarmadillo I didn't realize there was a different others were using. I must have missed that post lol. I've just been doing 1ml of each every 3/4 days. That's about 30/40ml Cal uptake.

I have my ICP on the way and will hopefully send it out Monday or Tuesday, so we'll see how it goes. Everything has been seemingly happy, so I think everything is OK.

I don't really like basing it off my Cal consumption either though. If I went off the directions I'd be putting 1ml a day in.

Okay I was going to say that seems low but maybe it adds up and I’m trying to make corrections right now to my low numbers. Like today I added .5 ml of Iodine which should dose me up from .03 to .045, they say .06 is ideal.

I added 4 ml potassium taking me up from 362 to 376, ideal is 410

Iron I added 2.5 ml taking me from 0 to .05, ideal is .15

On the elements I just added 3 ml

This is all in a 14g that gets 20% WC every week.

my current plan is to drop back to maybe .5 ml every few days once I get things back in line, but honestly I’m already doing way more math than I wanted to lol.
