Not sure, but just going to the er for it gets you $300 lol. So, if you have great private insurance, it's just money in your pocket. I'm lucky to have great health insurance and have the VA coverage since I'm a disabled veteran. So the VA covered everything on my ER visit. Which is crazy, received almost $30,000 in bills from the ERs and Ambulance. VA paid $704 total and nothing else paid by my private insurance or owed by me to them.

Just crazy how hospitals can charge so much, then another organization can just be like, nah man, to much. We're just paying xxx and you're going to be happy. I hate to think about if I didn't have insurance or the VA. So many people that don't and just get put into impossible situations because of it.

Nope, because accident insurance covers me on and off the job. So since I got hurt at home, workman's comp is applicable. But had I got hurt at work, I would have two coverages then, the accident and workman's

They charge $30,000 knowing they will never get it. But, then they can write off $30,000 in loses and never pay taxes.

Yep thats right. My hospital made 432 million last year. Didnt pay one cent in taxes as considered a nonprofit. Of course you dont profit when you charge and writeoff whatever amounts you want. in MA they cant go after you for medical bills either so they just write those off too.

He just needed salt. It would be expensive to fly with it. Super simple for someone local like myself to just drive up with it.

Yeah, I'll try and think of something less painful next time. It's probably a good thing the sale just ended instead of next week too. Otherwise, my fiance would probably have sent me back to the ER with select injuries because I would have definitely hit whale status haha

Yup it would be hahahaha I do believe there is an annual cap, I think it's 20k or something. Unless you have a catastrophic injury, like losing an arm or something lol.
