in your experience are gonis difficult to keep? i am still pretty new to the saltwater game
I wouldn’t start with a carebears because that would be an expensive coral to lose but I am new as well and have many happy Gonis. I waited until I had success with a few before getting a carebears though.

SBB auction noob here ☺️ Are care bears gonis only available to VIPs? i’d love to bid on one but didn’t see any in the regular auctions.
There is only one left in the VIP section now. It's a large one. I suspect it will be available tomorrow when everything left goes to the general sale. It's definitely one of the nicest looking gonis out there.

And welcome to an @SBB Corals sale!!

Gonis are picky. I have some (one) that is fully extended. One that is somewhat extended, and two that are almost all retracted to their bases... I just don't get it lol.

They can be very finicky. Happy for weeks and then ticked off for weeks. Most of mine have been happy but I have one that is the problem child. I dose phyto daily and target feed reefroids every now and then and they are growing.

In my experience torches and hammers are pretty easy. Just be careful if you decide you want to cut off a dead head or something. They will shatter if you don’t use a dremel or something.

Yeah for me it’s like certain Gonis have been finicky to the point of being retracted for months while the ones next to it are happy. Then I got another of the exact same kind of Goni and it has been happy since day 1. They are weird.

They can be finicky. You want low-medium high lighting is acceptable. Biggest is flow and love high Mag. I also dose trace elements 3 times a week plus amino/vitamin mix.
