I have plenty of tenuis, just think the ones that have been in captivity much longer (Years) are an easier ride. Overall feedback I've seen definitely does not reflect smoothies are easier. I've just found (anecdotally) the less conditioned ones fare better than less conditioned tenuis
Yup i would agree as well. My success rate with wild, aqua, mari have all been wildly different

Season 4 Showtime GIF by Billions

Haha, probably some luck, but also being over zealous with my tank maintenance. I think only @billyocean tests more frequently than me based on past conversations. I've settled in though and only test twice a week unless something looks off.

I have a trident, I think my issue is the less hardened tenuis are more finicky and I have a nano so there's definitely an element where as stable as I can try to make my tank, minor swings daily are out of my control and may stress the most sensetive corals.

Agreed, which is why I found SBB acros are easier than wild tenuis or other mariculture ones. They have them tank conditioned longer and they stand up to being fragged and put into different conditions.

So right now I can keep most anything alive and happy , except most Acros. Working on that. I’m trying to think of a way to get that IM 15 gallon intro tank. Just need a way to convince wife. Longshot….

How nano? And just a general question for the group, who does have the smallest nano tank?
