salt water smells musty after a week of being mixed

I recently switched to brightwell aquatics neo salt , this is my first time using it and I smell a musty smell coming for my 90 gallon mixed salt water container, it’s been mixing for about week and it’s outside so I don’t know if that has something to do with it because it has been 95 plus degrees but no other salt has smelled like this , has anyone else experienced this with this salt ?

Just aerate it with a small air pump. Closed containers of salt water will get algae and microbial stuff growing in it and it's not surprising to get some odor especially in warm weathter.

Ok I put an air pump in it last night , but do you think it is safe to use ?

I would use it as is after aerating it. But it helps with peace of mind, you could run it through a filter or just toss it and make up some new saltwater.
