For low range results the instructions say to double the dose of water and regents. That does not make any sense to me. I would think to just double the regents with the 10ML of water and divide by two. Thanks all

You're right - what you're saying doesn't make sense. Either what Salifert said or what you're saying. This is what Salifert really says: "HIGHER SENSITIVITY Should you require an even higher sensitivity than double the water sample and the reagents. The scale should be then divided by 2."

It just doubles the test sample and the observed colour change through the sample, so you half the result, against the colour chart.
