Hey guys I was wondering your opinion on running my skimmer ( reefoctopus 150-d ) full time except for the hour i turn it off for feeding. I also have a 30 gallon refugium on the tank with miracle mud and chaetomorpha on opposite lightning schedule to the main tank. my questions how does my skimmer affect the performance of the refugium food wise. I run the skimmer with the refugium because i seem to have far better out come then if i run the refugium alone to handle nutrient load and my anemone like it better also and seem fuller. any advise is greatly appreciated since the refugium concept is not new to my knowledge I just have never ran one before on a reef tank. thank you very much for all advice and opinions on the subject.

I run both a skimmer and a fuge full time. When I feed the tank the skimmer doesn't skim much, it actually skims less and I'm pretty sure it is because of the oils in the food.

24/7/365, if its not running its going septic or at least losing dissolved oxygen.
