I took almost 3 yrs off. I feel like I'm new again to the hobby.

Also my husbands fault for getting me involved again. I love the man.
Same! 6 years was our longest break ever. We (mostly he) researched for months and months before starting back up. Our only regret so far is not going bigger! Maybe after a year or so.

I went from 60g to a 90 to a 112sca. 112g was for my birthday as the 90g sprung a leak.

I'll never settle for 1 small tank if I cant have a big one now.

But, 40g nem tank would be nice!

I was out of it for about 15 years! I was sure in for some sticker shock when I jumped back in!

We had a 180, but my husband wasn’t allowed to touch the tank during chemo. Our priorities shifted and we gave it all away to a good home. 6 years later, he’s cured and we went for Innovative Marine EXT 75. We are already eyeing the 5ft 170. Luckily we mostly bought oversized equipment. It’s a never ending money pit and I love it!

The prices jumped right around 2006-2012.
They found how to find the "trends" and scalp people.

Man, I feel like I should share my story! I had a reef tank years ago and my wife made me tear it down after we moved and it crashed. Fast forward like 10 years and I set up a 5 gallon and bought some corals. I bought more corals and she got mad and made me upgrade to a 75 gallon. So I bought more corals. Then I bought more corals and she got mad again. Now she's forcing me to get a 135 shorty (60"*30"*18"). I wonder if I should buy some more corals...?
