I am going to buy a RODI from BRS... But not sure if I am going over kill or not . reason I am asking is about our water quality here in Knoxville.

4 stage or 6 stage, but I want the 150gpd due to less waste water, since I have to pay for flipping sewer. You know if you drink a glass of water, your still paying for waste / aka sewer charge. lol

I'm not sure what the "stage" count is on my BRS filter, it has a sediment, 2 carbon blocks, 2 75 gpd piggy backed, and DI. My tap TDS is 150-180ppm and I get 0ppm for about 6 months, I typically change my sediment, carbon and DI every 6 months.

Oh I miss the ole 180 TDS days...try 450-500 out here. I guess I should be happy to get water at all in the desert.

It's okay, I have moved to the coral Mecca. There are probably 10-15 stores that carry corals and fish within a 30 minute drive. Pretty impressive stuff can be found at many of them also.

Well , after waiting for the Coral Reef to close here in knoxville, and move back home to Jefferson City. Boo !
I just ordered my RO/DI today. I was going to go with the BRS but even with the discount 4th of July sale. I came out cheaper and I believe a better deal from Melv's Reef. I ordered the Boosted 15oGPH - 5 stage. mainly due to if I would have had to have a booster pump for the 150gph with the BRS that would have been another 145 on top of theirs. His comes with it , just hope Melv's is just as good , couldn't find really to many reviews. But the few I seen seemed happy.... Not to mention , no more driving weekly for 20.00 bux for water ( for 10 RO, and 10 Salt) also got me a tub of Red Sea coral pro before the Coral Reef closed... So in 2 months it will pay for it self... whoop whoop !!!

Well I got it in and installed, flushing the first 10 gallons of water. Had a small issue with a couple fittings. Cut and reinsert and vola. All good now!
