My Rock Flower anemone's have turned brown.... Fast! I did kick up my lighting this morning for the first time in a while. I added a lot more sun light 50/50 and true sun VHO T-12's... Could this be it? I noticed it after about 5 hours - that is it! Most all color is gone and they are ALL brown looking. Not much color other than that BROWN. They are all on the floor of my tank, small rocks and in the sand bed... Please help!!

Dunno but lots of things look brown in sunlight.

Pic? Before/after could help.

What else has changed in the tank down to something small?

Over light exposure will make most RFA close up before being damaged.

Without knowing for sure, the easiest obvious thing to do would be to switch your light schedule back and see if they revert to normal coloration..

You also may want to remove the emergency tag. This doesn't really qualify.

They may have bleached temporarily. Bright light can cause their inner algae called zooxanthellae to be expelled . The brown you see is the zooxanthallae trying to restore its energy and is affected by elevated temperature change, Hi elevated lighting, physical stress by highe salinity and phosphate,

I run daylight colors and stay away from the "ultra" rfa as they are plain in that spectrum. There are red, pink, etc that look great in daylight and are cheaper than ultras, too.
Yes Agreed .. Now I have learned my lessons well... lol
