Hello! I just installed an RO Buddie + DI filter system in my home. Upon reading the instructions I found that if I have chloramines I need a special carbon filter block. I called the city water department and asked if chloramines were in the water and they said no. Can someone tell me if there is anything in this water report that would require more filtration than what I already have?

Water report

Many thanks.

A 5 micron sediment filter, carbon filter, ro membrane and di cartridge. The instructions for the ro buddie say that if your water does contain chloramines you need to purchase an additional specific carbon block. Just trying to rule that out.

It states they add chlorine so you are fine. One problem is they could switch to chloramines at any time and they don't have to tell anyone. You would only find out on their yearly report. Even if there were chloramines a good carbon filter will handle them. My water has chloramines and I don't use a special filter, though I do run 2 carbon filters and I will only use 1 micron.

Thanks. I used to run 2 (BRS 5 Stage Water Saver) but I sold that a while ago. The cartridges on the ro buddie are kind of small but it should be fine. I thought about that as far as them adding chloramines in the future. I'll get some test strips and keep my eyes peeled.
