Why? I had a nearly full system crash on my 75 and the only things that survived were Gonis, Alves, and Blastos. I lost favias, montis, digis, Cyphastreas, and Micros... Blastos, Gonis, and Alves survived.
Not sure. They just don't grow much. They survive but not much else. Same with Gonis. We've really only had one thrive. It's an sps dominant tank. But I think they're so pretty. Next big tank we get we want to do torches gonis and blastos..

Maybe your water is too clean. LPS tend to like slightly dirty water while most SPS like clean water. Just dirty enough for survival, but too clean for surthrival! (See what I did there?)
