I’ve had this anenome for about 6 months in a 5 year old tank. Was doing good until I had a bad case of cyano take over. I lost track of the tank maintenance for a few months and the nem went like this and has not come out. Tank has been being kept up with the last 30 days or so changing water filters media etc I’ve been feeding the nem regularly pellets and lrs mix frozen. Would love to see it open back up as it’s one of the only survivors of the tank. Any help appreciated!

In my experience, when a nem looks like that, its usually on its way out.

I would focus on providing superior water quality. Charcoal filtration, UV, skimmer running wet, polyfilter, Ozone, whatever you have available.

How it the flow of water in that spot?

I avoid target feeding but let my nems capture fish food that drifts by. They really are easy to overfeed ime. The best hope for them is a good Clownfish to move in and take up housekeeping for the nem. If the clown doesn't kill it with love it will often make coral and nems that they tend to thrive with their presence.

Stability. If it's sticky and accepting food periodically, that's a good sign. As Krisreef said, don't overfeed though. It shouldn't need much at this point.

Got it thanks guys, the flow on this tank is strong as I’m trying to keep it really moving and also just trying something new. I’ll feed it every few days and see if anything changes. Appreciate the advice!
