Restarting and looking up

Hey everyone! I'm back, and excited to document my progress. To begin, I started on this forum back in 2019/2020 when I got my 120 and had many questions. Couple years later I kind of had a falling out with the hobby due to life and many other factors, which led to me not being able to keep up on maintenance and everything getting away from me. Unfortunately, now my 120 isn't in the best shape and amongst many other factors, I've decided to go a different direction. A direction I feel I will be able to keep up with and have fun with. This is my 120 now and I'm ashamed of it. With much research and consideration, I have decided to downsize slightly so I can reset and relearn habits and techniques the correct way. Next: my plan of action and steps i have taken.

Time for an update!! This past Sunday, I set up a temporary holding tank for the few inhabitants I have. I used a canister filter with lots of media seeded from my sump (been in there at least a year) and a couple large pieces of live rock from my display. Within the next couple weeks I hope to start transferring my displays inhabitants to here so I can begin the tear down process of the old display tank.

*Note: I have 4 fish and the temporary tank is 55 gallons.

Update time! I bought a new 75g setup a few weeks ago and this is it so far. I have a few more things to finish on it and waiting for a a couple deliveries, so I hope to get it up and running by the end of the month. One step at a time!

Update time!!!
Tearing down the old system today. Got everyone moved over to the temporary tank this week and everyone is doing great in their new temporary home. Tomorrow I'll be taking this one out and installing the new tank! So excited!

Update! Out with the old and in with the new(er)! Just finished getting the old tank out and the new tank in and setting it up. It's gonna be a long night but I'm prepared!

Update!!! Got it finished and set up how I want it. I used a couple of pieces of live rock from my previous setup to help seed the bacteria. Let me know what you think
