So i inherited (a beautiful green with bluish edge) haddoni from the guy that sold me his setup. I want to add more fish and don’t want this thing killing them (or my corals).

Question- will the 2 clowns be ok when i take out the nem? They absolutely adore it. Sleep on it at night and really love it. I only have a 69g tank so it is nowhere near big enough to house this assassin. Also, nobody wants it. Fish store will take it but they probably won’t give me any credit towards anything.

Yes, the clowns will be ok. It’s a shame to get rid of the nem though!!! Have you considered posting it on here for a low price or free to someone who can properly take care of it?

You can also consider a less “dangerous” nem like a bubbletip- I have 2 in 2 different tanks and their clown pairs (maroon and ocellaris) love them.

i would consider it but won’t a BT still kill fish and coral?
It's possible but quite unlikely. I got a mixed reef with bta's, mini maxi nems, adhesive nems, tube anemone. All up 13 Anemones and I have not lost a single fish to them. Every now and then there is a little stinging fight between a nem and a coral but as corals grow bigger they fight for space with each other too.

I've had my BTA for several months and it has never bothered anything, even when moving around at times. But my clowns have no interest in it. Maybe it will work out better for you since your carpet has hosted your anemones. What kind of clowns?

Regular Oscellaris clowns. Thanks everyone for the tip. Maybe the LFS will trade me a small nem for my giant 6-7" diameter carpet, but who knows.
