So I'm shutting down a system and want to dry the rock out, however there are a TON of little brittle stars that I want to get in my big tank. Any ideas how to get them out? Silverside in a net?

Thanks!

Yeah either you lure them out or you could dip the rock in a weak coral dip and stun them but not kill them?

I once purchased a "Detritivore Kit" from a mariculture facility that contained mini brittle stars. They used a pointer to carefully lift them off the rock and sand for me to take home. I think Fishinizer's idea is the best plan since they hide very well and could easily be missed when searching the rocks. They are very fragile so lift them out of the bucket carefully or add some tank water after the rock is removed and pour them into the bag or other container.
