I recently got this small regal tang had him in a qt tank for a while then went into my main (65 gal) tank where i have 2 clownfish, the clowfish have been fine nothing wrong with them. I put the tang in the main tank june 22 and about 2 days ago i noticed that he had something on one side of his body, thought is was a scratch from hidding in the rocks at night but when i took a closer look at him he had some spots on him and looked pretty banged up, the clowfish mind their business and dont bother him. Since its my first time having a tang dont know how to fix this problem. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Those dark spots are the thing in question, I assume.

Possibly from a coral or anemone sting? I don't see any parasitic spots like ich.

That is one tiny tang!

The spots may be mucus cones but its impossible to make a proper assessment with a fish out of water. Please post a you tube version video of at least 20 seconds under white light intensity. Also, as this fish likes to hide within rocks and structure, do you by chance have an urchin?

A video of the fish swimming in the tank would help, it is pretty difficult to diagnose a fish out of the water (and stressful to the fish as well).

This is a really small tang - you'll need to feed it small food items multiple time a day.
