Can you run a algae magnet over this? Also how do you think a center overflow will affect the back light? Obviously it will block it, but still worth getting??
I’m sure you could run a magnet scraper over it but I won’t be as I don’t want to cause it to start peeling off in any way. I’m planning to use a soft brush with long arm for scraping/cleaning algae.

I’ve seen several tanks with center overflows and I think it still looks legit. In the Question of the day post from yesterday several Reefers and planted folks posted pics in that thread. You should check it out if you haven’t already.

I swapped my clear CADE jump net with a black one.

You can. I had this on a freshwater tank and had run the magnet along the back. It didn’t bother anything.

The Great White skimmer is in along with the red mangroves. These little trees were collected almost a year ago in SWFL as little sticks - no roots or leaves. They have traveled with us allover Florida and even to TX and back to FL in a bucket. So happy to have them in grow out now.

The best ones will be added to the display once they show some cool root systems and are large enough. For now they are taking up the ATO section of my sump since I will be running ATO direct through the wall.

The CADE gets an iPad, kiosk and controller/dosing cabinet and I think they match perfectly!

Here’s the 2 new product links, everyone keeps asking on my other social accounts:

Black High Gloss side Cabinet with LED lighting: (with caution - PITA to put together) https://amzn.to/3qS24MK

iPad Kiosk: (tip - the beveled silver logo on the stand comes off, it’s a sticker) https://amzn.to/3hBPE7s

Working with Antonio from VCA to get custom fitted Random Flow Generator nozzles for the CADE 1800 S2/P! Can’t wait to see the finished product and flow…

The owner Antonio was so cool to give us a mini-tour of his operation. I shared with him that my son Noah wanted a 3D printer and was interested in becoming an Engineer - next thing I know Antonio is sending us videos of his operation! Thanks so much my friend. Vivid Creative Aquatics

Random Flow Generators came in this week from VCA. Had 2 sets custom made in 3/4” and 1” along with locline for each. Not sure which set I will use until I get some water in the tank.

Super stoked with how they came out. Antonio from VCA said these will be offered on their site for the CADE Pen tanks now.

Loving these lights! Went to install them today and set everything up to record a vid and my wife asks how I’m hanging them…??? I show her the typical wire hanging kit and it’s a “no go”. She doesn’t like the wires hanging from the ceiling- she thought it was cheesy! lol

So.. here’s a pic of my progress. Waiting on a pair of ghost legs and rear arm mounts and we’ll see which set she prefers. Haha! [HASH=46563]#happyWifehappyLife[/HASH]

Lights: Illumagic Blaze X 6’ with 2 Vitamini Blue strips

Here are the two mounting options we are waiting to come in…

Scaping day with Cornerstone Reef Rock… using mostly branch rock. Finished the left side and working on the right side tomorrow. Glue Masters glue is legit!

Found an awesome use for the CADE crate too.. glad I kept it. The blue painters tape marks the interior of the tank dimensions.

Here’s the scape before I got it into the tank.. really stoked about this rock from Cornerstone Reef Rock. Especially in love with the branches and color. Using Glue Masters to scape made this thing solid! It’s straight up beast mode.

Here’s the process on how I scaped the branch rock. Really impressed with Glue Masters glue! The stuff creates bonds instantly that are stronger than the rock itself.

Installing the Illumagic Blaze X Series lights and Vitamini Super Actinics. We went with acrylic ghost legs for now. Later in the build we will revisit the lights and create an acrylic box to make more of a floating canopy for them.
