Reefish123 New 135G Build Thread

So after braking down my 50gal cube I just decided to upgrade to a 135gal cube. I have been working on since December of 2012. This is are my plans I drew on Google Sketch up. This build is for a 3-sided starphire custom built buy lee-mar euro braced. That being said I really want to give props to Mike from SEXY CORALS for hooking me up with this tank and all my other equippent I'll be using.

My main goal with this tank is to have a mixed reef, Ive been all about z&p's but I found great intrest on sps and lps corals too.
Now this tank will be set up in my bike shop and find it kinda difficult to manage the tank and work at the same time I have thought of setting this tank automatic using the apex controller.

middle section plan on sand and cheato, right section will be my return and upper right is TOP off water and Ca-Mg-Alk reservoirs lower section

John from AA build this sump, he really did an amazing job, sump looks better in person. Red baffles look wild :tongue:

Left side is my drain with a custom build sock holder, Right side will be my protein skimmer with a pump for 2-stage media reactor

quick update, looking to have the stand done by this week or the following. :violin:

ok now I have two stands.... after waiting for too long for my stand I decided to have someone else build me a new stand. But not till yesturday I recieved a call for my first stand ordered... O'well I guess I'll use one for a mixing station.

Anyway dont have pictures as they are in the powder coating color white...

Here are a few things I have been picking up in the mean time

Aquaticlife RO/DI 100GPD Power New (i'm gonna get this installed tomorrow)

180Lbs of Caribsea Fiji Pink Sand(maybe more than I need)

Another Update sorry for not keeping it up to date. My wife and I decorated the wall and after that we put the tank in place. tank is now we but for
now here are some pictures of the build. Enjoy.

In the cycling process already, although I will not use the reef rock in the tank. Had a few issues installing the tank becuase water level was off by 1/2". So I drained it again:doh:




This was the best I could do!!


You can see the salt creep where the water level was after I drained the tank



Added some table shrimp for the cycle
