So what does everyone think about reef Memorials? If you don't know what one is check out www.eternalreefs.com

Basically they take your ashes and make a dome with holes kinda like making live rock. Then they put it in the ocean and it grows as a mini coral reef. They put a bronze plate in it for you also your family can write in the cement when its wet or put their hand prints in it.

I thought it was pretty cool, my wife not so much lol

I have seen them before. I have no issues with it. I plan on some of my ashes going into space.

I can understand that. I am single and have seen to it that my son is covered. I am sure when I am dead I wont care at all, but while I am alive I like knowing part of me will go into space.

I lost a friend last week so it started this type of conversation. I told her that I don't see the point in burial in the traditional sense but if it made her feel better then do that since as I am dead I won't care lol. But if she went with cremation I wouldn't mind this for my ashes.

It's amazing of all the trauma you go through and injuries and your body and mind can heal and find peace, death is the most unnatural thing that happens with no true cure or understanding. Just my .2
