I wouldn't worry. I've a Rhodactis that "hugs" his piece of rock he's attached to and he's growing. When he opens, wow!

Gotcha, yeah the jaw breaker looked so small, then big when they picked him up and now small again. Also not as bright. But I understand, its acclimating and not happy about the salinity probably. Fixed now though!

Your light spectrum could be off from theirs just enough also that the color will look different.

I gotcha, mine looks more emerald compared to when it was at the store. It sure did get me into mushrooms though. I stalked it at the store for weeks and it grew pretty fast from what I saw. So now I'm on the hunt for more.

The Hairy Mushrooms are kinda neat too. Pretty sure they're a variety of Ricordea, but I'm not positive.

Also fairly inexpensive.

If they come in bright colors, definitely a try for me. My dream is like 3 species of mushrooms on 3 different rocks. All colors in the foreground of a display

any thoughts on acans? I've also seen those and want to give em a shot
I love Acans! And Favias. Thing about both of them is there are several varieties that can fight each other... I love the Acan Lords/Micromussa.

I love mine. Bought with 3 heads a few months ago and now have at least 8 new heads popping up.

Those all look the same to me (structurally). Only thing I think is right that I know is acan lords are just bigger than acan micromusa? also micromusa have more color variation?

So tempted to buy another but Im only working with a 20L. Heard they will fight most anything around it
Probably. I have Christmas, Spider, Rainbow, Mean Green, Black Hole, Lizard Lips, Lizard Skin... All sold as Lord's or Micromussa.

Riptide has a bunch of Micromussa which I believe are now classified as Acan Lords. Just be careful mixing as they will sting each other if they're different varieties even if they look similar.
I'm too scared to mix them lol tile frags they go
