Reef breeders meridian mounting height and color blending.

Was looking to preorder the 24in model and was wondering if anyone who already has one can give some insight on mounting height and particularly color blending. The disco ball effect is a huge pet peeve of mine and I am wondering if these lights have it. Thanks!

Also wondering, I want to put them in an open top canopy and only have 6-7 inches from the water to work with.
