Reef beverage: Do you feed liquid foods to your tank?

There are lot of ways to feed a reef including live foods, chemicals, pellets, and much more. Some of this food is hard like pellets, chunked liked meaty foods, and sometimes the food can come in liquid form like phyto or other bottle foods. Do you feed liquid food? If so, please tell us about your experience. How often do you feed liquid food? What types do you use? Do you dose it, use a syringe/baster, or just pour it in? Let’s talk about liquid food for our reefs in the discussion thread that follows!

Yes, every day I feed zoo plankton or phyto. Weekly I feed an amino acid liquid food. I also have sponges, feather dusters, a scallop and macroalgae.

YES. . . BUT I dont know how I feel. My first tank had awesome growth and was feeding Marine Snow by Brightwell and Zooplankton by Seachem. . . so I am trying to replicate that for better growth in my new systems but results are still out. . . I was only feeding once a week before and now I am doing smaller doses daily. . . maybe I should go back to once a week

Reef Nutrition Phytofeast/Oyster Feast/Roti Feast while lights are out

I also feed Beta Brine, Mysis Feast, ROE, and Pac Pods, but for some reason I tend to think they are more “solid.”

Otherwise, I am starting Red Sea AB+ aminos today, not sure if it will make a difference as I feel some of the foods above are checking the same boxes. Trying to color up some pale corals.

220ml of Live phyto split to 40 doses daily and 1/2+ gallon of mixed pod culture weekly. Setup takes about 20 minutes a week to maintain. I have been running this setup since starting this tank last year to prepare it for a pair mandarins.
