Had to catch up! The tank and the thread are growing so well! The brittle stars lose legs to trauma but regrow them.
Could you call a sea hare "good looking"? I don't think so. So ugly he cute is the only thing I can come up with. :p
Thanks! I appreciate the kind words. I havent given up hope on the 2nd brittle yet but he was leg less going in so odds against him but will see. At least one us active.
To all who drop by and leave a like, comment, or just view the thread Thanks! It really gives me a good feeling and I hope folks enjoy the read and better still naybe avoid mistakes i made along the way.

Happy Saturday my salt minded friends. Did a round of testing and all looks good phosphate and nitrate still higher but moving in right direction. The nitrates are moving slooooooow but I got a plan! I gave some marine pure balls in the sump and in a thread here saw they need a re commended flow to really help with nitrates, so since I’m not using my dual reactor going to drop some in one side and shoot for 30-40 got and see what happens.
My toadstool (thanks Again Victoria for is) is better but still looking sad. Pic below is it not at its best extension I’ve seen but better. Gonis look a bit better ever day love the blue but do r have the camera or skills to get a great shot to capture it

Good morning @Raege ! How is the tank?
Gooood morning @NY_Caveman and my fellow Salt addicts
Tank is so far unharmed from the 1 hour loss of time All numbers are looking good and corals are happy. I couldnt expect any better. Nitrates are still higher than i want so going to be vodka dosing a few times a week starting today. Will see what thst does. I plan on a shot for the tank and one for me good for tank must be good fir me too :)

Say hey lovers of the ocean. I forgot to stay at work today and camden home and watched the tank. It was like watching out the window with it snowing except it was snowing snails. Hilarious must have seen 5 of em in a minute period take the plunge off the rocks and start back up. It’s like I caught them doing some secret jump club :)

Happy Saturday my wet and wild friends. Good news this am as Stubs the armless brittle star has been sighted and has some growth in the arm dept. This means we had a 100% survival rate from Live Aquaria order. Can see the brittle lower right of anemone. Also coralline is ramping up more and more on glass. I’m thinking some of green I’m seeing is begging get coralline before the purple takes over which is cool.
Happy to see coralline not so happy with the extra scraping needed.
Heading out to LFS for some more garlic guard and maybe a new coral if the wife falls in love. Wish me luck getting out cheap

Yea he is learning more and more every day he comes. Part of me wants to set up the 55gallon for him at his house and get him started on a leather and softies anenome tank or something easy.

We'll see!

My nephew runs my Mum's last tank, I gave it to him when she passed, 2 young kids, they love it and find the time to keep it ticking over nicely!
I paid for it to be running and wet with live rock. :)
