Hello reefers.
I'm running a G6 Blue on my tank and have just used the seneye par reader and got some really disappointing reading on the AB+ and the LPS Mobius settings. I had the seney 6" under the water and was reading 136 par on AB+ and 102 par on LPS both at 90% intensity. Am I doing something wrong???

Theoretically you run the blue 100% all channels. Then if needed dim globally.
The blue is designed as AB + no "preset" is necessary.

Soo measure w/ the seneye at 100%
As I understand their "tech".
G6 does diffuse the light more so than the older generations so "spot" PAR is lower in comparison.

So I'm not going mad??
So should I just run my own settings and use AB+ as a guide then mate?
Or lower the light ??

After doing some digging it seems like you might not be that far out of line.
One correction of my own is that the "blue" does change some channel intensities with the ab+ preset.
A poster stated it set the white channel at 60%... so I did not understand the light to begin with.
Guess it was designed to be close but not quite ab+ out of the box.
Sorry for my understanding.

As to lowering the light, personal choice but the pros and cons based on current height and tank size ect needs to be considered.
BRS really has extensive tutorials on it.
