Thanks everyone.

Sounds like I need to find another reason to come out again to SF just to take you up on your offer LOL. I could just stare for hours on end and your hospitality is first-class!

Beautiful tank, and inhabitants. Great work.

May I ask what thickness acrylic it was built out of, and if the top is braced or rimless? I'm considering similar dimensions for my next tank either 48" x 36" wide or 36" x 36" wide.

Thanks.

Congrats Ian!
Very nice looking tank. I also love the chalice but the whole tank explodes with color.

Thanks Kev, Sara, frankthetank, and Kass.

Dave, like I said just let me know.

Tswifty, thanks. The tank is 3/4" acrylic with a 4" wide (3/4") eurobrace. I went overkill on the tank thickness. I didn't want it to bow at all. If I had to do it again I would go with the same thickness of acrylic.

Hi Ian, Nice to see a fellow (or at least former) planted-tank guy rocking the reefs.

A million people have already told you the corals are nice (I agree... awesome stuff, I especially like the fungias :) ). but if I may say so, lots and lots of individually nice corals do not a nice tank make. The tank as a whole isn't very interesting; I'd even that it's busy and confusing... very crowded, each piece specifically placed like a farmer... So, if you want a question: whence the aesthetics? whence the aquascape? Maybe I still don't (and will never?) 'get' the aesthetics most reef-folks are into. This may be my shortcoming, not yours. Regardless, I hope you take this comment in the spirit of constructive criticism.

Thanks for the reply. Exactly the answer I was looking for.
