1. Learning to scuba dive off Maui on my honeymoon. Wanted to bring a piece of that back home to the Midwest.

2. Dream is a thriving SPS dominant mixed reef in the 230+gal range. I am currently working on the thriving part.

3. The challenge is a positive and also a negative, but seeing things grow and be healthy in my system is very rewarding.

My dream setup would be a multi thousand gallon tank with access to actual seawater to be continuously pumped in for water changes


My favorite part of the hobby is relaxing and viewing my tank......or buying corals, idk. Lol

1) What got you into the hobby?
My boys caught 5 shrimp in a cast net while visiting with the Grandparents. They were upset at the idea of eating them, and I had a 10 gallon Petco tank collecting dust.

2) What is your dream setup?
How about a house designed around a fish tank

3) What is your favorite part of the hobby?
Aquariums are soothing for me. I remember that when my Dad took me to public aquariums as a little kid. It's a part of unwinding after a hectic day.
