Hey everyone... have what is probably a stupid question, but I bought a used 90 gallon setup that came with a pair of AI prime LED's. Really digging the LED lights so far but I'd like to add in some t5's for a little more oomph on the PAR ratings so I can keep LPS and maybe a few SPS corals higher up in the tank.

So the hybrid fixture comes with brackets across the middle that you can mount the AI Prime LED's to, but it looks like an additional 'L-shaped' bracket is needed as the LED only has a single mounting screw in the back side of the LED housing. As the LED's were used, they came with a bracket that attaches to the side of the tank and nothing else so I'm wondering if the original owner discarded some of the mounting pieces. Does anyone have pics they wouldn't mind sharing of how you've got the AI prime's mounted to the hybrid fixture? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

You may want to consider adding a couple more AI Primes as well. You’d get the same result, and the price wouldnt be much different since you have to purchase the fixture and the bulbs.

But to answer your question, I had this hybrid fixture a couple of years ago, using it with a Kessil, and I just put it into the fitting that came with it. I didn’t screw anything in, it just rests in there.

I had this - primes with the aquatic life hybrid - and the solution is two fold - for each prime you need the prime hanging kit to get the L bracket which mounts on the back of the hydra and then gives you a 'horizontal' surface to screw to the hybrid middle bracket. If I recall correctly the screw hole on that L bracket from the prime hanging bracket is a 10-32 thread so you can then buy a 10-32 screw and screw into that hole from above the hybrid bracket and then you have it mounted.

Bonus with primes is that you can adjust the angle with that bracket even on the hybrid so you direct the light if you want...

Hope this helps
