I never used to until I had a major outbreak that killed all but 1 fish. Now I medicate with Blue Life USA Safety Stop then 1 month Copper and 1 month observation with Ruby Reef Rally Pro and API General Cure.
Typical quarantine is 30 days and after coppersafe - rather than cupramine at 2.25-2.5, follow with prazipro as you then have covered the higher risks. Ruby is ok after but mainly for bacterial, velvet and brooklynella. Thats a lot of meds to expose a fish to

I've been using CopperPower for the copper.

Time to qt depends what your treating. A lot of meds need to be separate and you have dips and it all can change the time. Copper is standard 30 days but 14 should be good.
Also what fish. Some wrasse and other fish are better to settle couple weeks before meds.
I qt’ed fish in 14 days and some between meds and settling were couple months or so

I overacted after that dieoff, I probably need to reevaluate my qt procedure.

Coppersafe and copper power good. Maintain good water quality and copper level
