protein skimmer

have a octo 100 hob.skimmer...my second in 4 years...the shaft going into the pump, broke .....contacting octo, ..while they do make shafts for there other skimmers this one no...always nice that they make product and offer no parts...i would have to buy the whole pump..97 dollars and all i need is a twelve dollar piece of plastic..ebay some nimrod thats selling 2 for parts.. shells are cracked and the pipes..filters not included..300 dollars..LFS...two are going out of business, and the one that sold me the skimmer...dont carry parts and was no help to me. so...any mister fix its out there that might offer me some help...in trying something or known fixes...not going to keep going out and buying skimmers..any and i mean any ideas would be fantastic...the knowledge here and help ive gotten in the past....all of which were great help..is appreciated.......thnxs
