I have used twice Chemiclean to defeat Cyanobacteria. Ive used it, than made a water change, and after few days I used it for the second time and of course made a water change. It was 9 days ago, now I came home after 7 days holiday and it looks like that.
PO4 is almost 0
NO3 10-15
pH 8.1
Temp 26c.

What to do next to defeat Cyano?

Hi, its 1 month later... Is it still Dino (brown on sand and rock) and some dark red Cyano on sand? I had to use the toothbrush to remove most of it from the rock. Maybe some Bryopsis? I have used Chemiclean twice and the method with H2o2. Yesterday PO4 0.2 NO3 20-25.

Python the sand

Scrub, wirebrush, the rock

Siphon out the gunk and muck. Turkey baster every day

Razor, scrape, off the glass, suck and siphon out that muck

Water changes

Add more CUC

Add bottled bacteria, just half an ml(10 drops) every night

Add a bottle of copepods

Add some form of algae reactor, scrubber, refugium

Start running your blue lights if they are not running, keep your white lights down

You will win. And then you'll look back at how easy that was, and how good the tank looks

Chemiclean is erythromycin. It kills bacteria. Bacteria make up your microbiome. You're killing part of your microbiome every time you use it

One brushes and siphon at the same time

Some attach the brush to the tip of the siphon tube

The other end, one just attaches a media bag or a filter sock, put that in the sump.

Then one doesn't have to stop siphoning when the bucket is full of water

These are probably cheaper at Harbor Frieght, but they don't deliver

If one is concerned about the metal, once can get the nylon or use toothbrushes. Same thing

Most of those I would pull out

And clean them in a bucket

Even to the extent of taking the corals off and setting them on a frag rack on the sides, until the tank matures
