The fixture alone retailed new for $690 on BRS. The ballast retails new on BRS for $135. Total retail price for both new was $825 plus tax. And that didn't include the cost of bulbs!

All said and done, this was a retail purchase of over $900!

The fixture is $399. But you will need a ballast. And this model Giesemann fixture doesn't come with ballast. Even if you bought this from BRS, you would need to buy a ballast. If you already have a ballast, then just get the fixture for $399.
