I initially got it for start up and I was going to upgrade to a sicce like my other tanks have, but its doing amazing at the 1 year mark
All pumps have failures, about like saying X brand car broke down so they are all trash. I agree they are not top of the line but I can't see spending 4 times the money and still fail. I have backup stuff for emergencies.
Too each their own.

I bought the Apex and I have some Kaomer dosing pumps. Got some free pumps from someone at CoralVue. We machined a light mount for their tank.
I eat the Carolina Reapers straight from my garden. WOOOOOO!
