so I am getting a koralia evolution 1500 gph for Christmas.. tank is a 90g. probably 75-80 gallons actually in the tank due to displacement of sand and rock.
this will give me approximately 20X turnover in the DT
softie/Zoa/Leather tank

so
where should I place it..
Back wall middle facing the front?

right side pushing way form the overflow. overflow is right back corner

Left side pushing towards the overflow?

and as far as height .. middle or upper part of the tank?

Soft corals don't require alot of flow, so as long as you don't have any dead spots in the tank, you should be good to go. Experiment a little, move them around and find what works best for you. Take your rock scape into consideration as well.
