Hello everybody.

I have a question about my lamps, two AI Prime 16HD.

My tank is 15,7’ (40 cm) high with a DSB of 4,7’ (12 cm), total 45 gal. , it is two years old.
As you can understand, the water column is very low.

The lamps are 14’ (35 cm) from the water surface.

Predominantly SPS.

What maximum power can I set for not burning them ?

Now I l’m running at 65% V RY B and 25% CW.

Thank you for your advices.

As blaxsun says.
It is not very likely that AI Prime HD16 would burn acros outside acclimation period.

A par meter is best.
With that said.
On my 45 frag system, 36x24x12. I run 4 16hds at 10" from the surface. 10" of water so most corals are 6 " from the surface.
I run first 4 channels at 100%.
The rest at 50%.
I have 2 16s on my 30g running the same. A green slimer is touching the surface.
Par is running 250ish 5" down in the 45.
Im getting 200 par in the 30 at a depth of 8".

I don’t have a par meter.

What wrote from @90's reefer is very clear.
First 4 channels at 100% without troubles means that with a good acclimatization I can’t burn my corals if I setting my Prime at 80% or more.

I hoped to read experiences like that.

Thank you

Sounds good. Start at first 4 80%
with the rest at 40% and adjust from there if needed.
YW!
