I recently got a powder blue tang but it just died 2 days later. The first picture is 24 hours in, prior was mostly in/around rocks hiding and this picture was night before he went where wasn't moving a lot. First fish in tank but bunch of corals that have been around for months. Tang was drip accliminated, didn't eat at all. Seems like shock? Nothing else is in there except some clean up crew, some serpent stars? Tank params - 55 gal, ammonia is .03, Alk is 7.0, nitrates are just under 10, pH 8.2, temp 81F

Did you check the salinity of the water the tang was in before you added him to your tank, and what is the salinity of your tank?

A significant difference between the two can lead to a serious shock event if an extended acclimation period is not followed, particularly if your tank's salinity is higher. For example, 1.019 versus 1.026 for your tank should be acclimated over a couple of days.

How long did you drip acclimate and did you equalize temp-salinity and ph?
I also see bumps on the body which may be an indicator of ich/previous ich
