Just picked these guys up for CUC in my new reef tank and didn't notice the two lumps on each of their shells. Can anyone tell me if I should be concerned about unwanted hitchhikers?

They're Vermetid snails I believe. If they're alive, they can spread and make new ones. They're typically beneficial filter feeders until they reach uncontrollable numbers. If you get true Bumblebee snails they can help control them. Also, people have reported success with calcium carbonate (DIY Reef Snow)

I have them in my tanks and they're pretty good under control. I have 2 or 3 Bumblebee snails and I use Calcium Carbonate off and on to keep the water clean and clear.

Thanks everyone. Think I'll make an attempt to remove them. This is my first tank, trying to keep it as simple as I can
Honestly, it's unlikely you'll be able to keep vermetids out of your tank... may just want to leave them be.
