I’m thinking through some plumbing designs and manifold ideas. Quick question about adding a chiller/future chiller.

Can the return water from the chiller go back into the return pump section? I don’t want to return to the display tank, and this seems to be the best alternative.

Thanks for any input around this.

I have had mine this way for several years. It works just fine. I have mine fed off a manifold with a gate valve to dial down the flow. Actually, mine dumps back into the skimmer chamber which is just before my return section. I didn’t want to dump chilled water directly back into the pump if that makes sense

yep mine basically the same. from return manifold to chiller and chilled into the centre filter/rock section.

Nice, so enough of the chilled water gets returned back to the display tank then. This info helps alot. Thanks again!
